FAQ: How Do I … ?

(Under Construction: Email us your questions so we can include them here.)
How do I:

  • Get a library card?
Bring a current photo ID (Texas Driver’s License) and proof of current residence (a bill with your exact name and address) to the library. New cards are free.
  • Children ages 17 and under must have a parent or guardian present to get or replace a card. The adult must provide ID and proof of residence and agree to be responsible for items checked out to the child/minor.
  • Replace a lost card?
Bring the same forms of ID as above and a $5.00 fee.
  • Renew my items?
In person, over the phone (830) 393-7361, or online.
  • Use the internet/computers at the library?
You may bring your own laptop and use the free wireless here. You may use one of our ten public computers, and from those computers, you may print (at a cost).
You need your current library card in order to use our computers.
  • Out of town visitors may use an internet computer a limited number of times on a temporary basis, with proper identification.
