Friends of the Library

Mission: The Friends of the Sam Fore, Jr., Wilson County Public Library provides services and activities to improve and encourage literacy to all citizens of Wilson County, TX, and all persons who utilize the Sam Fore, Jr., Wilson County Public Library, including assistance in the programs, resources, circulation, materials, and public relations of the library. The Friends help by raising funds to support the various programs at the library.
The Friends of the Wilson County Public Library meet the fourth Thursday of the month except during the summer to discuss last years success and to plan events for the coming year. Anyone may join this organization for a $20 annual membership or $100 lifetime membership.
Throughout the week it is not uncommon to see one or more of the following events occurring at the same time in our small 5,000 square foot building:
Story time for Preschool aged children
Basic computer classes
Internet computer work
Proctoring of college exams
Photocopying and document scanning
Faxing service
Wireless WiFi connection for computer laptops
Magazine and newspaper reading
and finally library work with checking material out and in from library patrons.
