Texas Teacher Degrees and Programs - To work as a teacher in Texas, an individual must have a bachelor’s degree. If the degree is a non-teaching degree, the individual must also complete an approved teaching preparation program. Many teachers in Texas also have a Master’s in Education degree (M.Ed.), or a Master’s of Arts in Teaching degree (MAT), which is similar to teachers in most states. Luckily there are a number of different program options offered at reputable universities online, where you can work and earn your Master’s degree in teaching online simultaneously.
