2025 Summer
Reading Grant

We Did It!
We have been awarded $2,500 to create 13 Beginner Reader Take Home Literacy Kits. Each kit is built around a beginning reader with sound. Also, each kit will have some kind of technology devise, board books, beginning chapter books and games to increase vocabulary.
​
Look for these new items to be available for checkout at all three libraries the first part of June.

Friends of the Wilson County Public Libraries meet the fourth Thursday of the month except during the summer to discuss last years success and to plan events for the coming year. Anyone may join this organization for a $20 annual membership or $100 lifetime membership.
​
The organization works to provide services and activities to improve and encourage literacy to all citizens of Wilson County, TX, and all persons who utilize the Wilson County Public Libraries, including assistance in the programs, resources, circulation, materials, and public relations of the library.
The Friends help by raising funds to support the various programs at the library including:
