La Vernia City Park
Stockdale Bryce Field
StoryWalk® is an interactive way to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. A picture book is installed along a walking path and as you walk the trail you can read the story. The StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and has developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, formerly of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. This program (the LV StoryWalk) is made possible with funding from Humanities Texas and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the federal ARP Act.
The StoryWalk in La Vernia was installed March 2022 by volunteers Sora Garcia, Mychael Garcia, Nicki, Samuel Swan, and Brooke Locker.
Brooke and Samuel are members of the Wilson County 4H Archery Club.
